It’s not too late to register! Grace Covenant Church will be hosting AMI Revolution 2008, June 26-28, 2008, in Philadelphia. This missions conference will be a weekend of worship and fellowship with AMI college students from all over the US. Check out www.amirevolution.com for more information and to register online.
The Remnant Presbyterian Church
The Remnant Community Center (RCC) began construction at the beginning of this year. The two-story building was gutted in order to replace it with a four-story building. Praise God that over 100% of the funds needed came in! Pastor Victor and TRPC express their deep appreciation for all the AMI churches that participated in giving.
Hearts on Fire Summer Retreat: Also, on June 6-8 TRPC will be having a retreat at New Jersey Christian Academy focused on evangelism. Our guest speaker will be Dr. and Pastor Steven Lee, a church-planter currently serving with Africa Inland Mission International in Kapsowar, Kenya.
Church of Southland Building Project
Church of Southland is currently in escrow to purchase a new church building! We praise God for this blessing! Please join us as we pray that the City of Anaheim will grant us the permit required to build a large sanctuary in the building and for the neighboring building owners to grant us reciprocal parking agreements. We also kicked off a building fundraising campaign to raise $1 Million by August 27th. Please cover this entire building process. We appreciate it!
Grace Covenant Church
• On June 1st the GCC Mainline site will be moving to a new location and a new time. We will be moving to The Baldwin School and we will be meeting at 9:30am.
• We praise God for Pastor Barry Kang, his wife Sunny, & son, Caleb, from Church of Southland. He joined the GCC staff in April. He will be heading up the GCC Temple site and is being trained through our campus ministry to plant a campus church in the future.
• We want to praise God that in July we will be adding another person to our staff. Pastor David Alas will be joining us to grow and pastor the GCC Mainline Congregation. We are excited to welcome Pastor Dave, MiKyung and his three children to the GCC family.
Over-the-Rhine Living Water Ministry
Over-the-Rhine Living Water Ministry, in Cincinnati, Ohio, finished the construction of their building project. Their Dedication Service was held on Saturday, April 12th. They had a great turnout of over 117 people. Pastors Keith Park and Victor Kim attended the service and spoke. Drs. Paul and Johann Kim appreciate everyone’s prayers and support and thank you.
The Journey Church of Atlanta
• Praise God for the safe delivery of Pastor Matt and Julia's baby daughter, Ella Jadyn Ro. She is officially the first baby at JCA. Please pray that JCA would steadily develop a children's ministry not just for Ella but for all children that will come in the future for JCA.
• JCA is currently in the planning stages of starting a young adult church plant in a separate part of the city. The plan is to launch this new site sometime in the fall. We are hoping to plant a church site in a part of the city where we can have a strong impact on the people and community surrounding us.
• For the college ministry, this year marked a new era as we have added two more college campuses as locations for our family groups. We started family groups for the first time at Georgia State University and Oxford College of Emory. Both groups experienced strong growth not just in numbers but in faith as well. Several non-Christians attend both groups and have made strong steps towards accepting Christ into their lives.
HMCC
• HMCC of Ann Arbor: The Lord has graciously provided a building for HMCC of Ann Arbor. After a few months of negotiations and inspections, HMCC-AA recently signed a contract to purchase a building right on the University of Michigan campus. The church prays that this building be used to help reach the campus and community more effectively and also become a training center for missions work and church planting.
• HMCC of Austin: The HMCC of Austin church plant team left Ann Arbor on May 18th and made the long trek down to Austin. After three days of driving, with stops in Nashville and Dallas, the team made the journey safely and in good spirits. The team will utilize the rest of the summer to prepare for the church to be launched in August, when the University of Texas will begin their new school year.
